Assessment Task:
Task Description:
Create a narrative text (approximately 750 words) which employs a number of conventions from a chosen genre to show your understanding of how composers manipulate these elements to present ideas and new worlds. Include an A4 visual representation that enhances the ideas of your story.
Process for completing the task:
1. Choose a genre from the ones studied in class.
2. In pairs brainstorm ideas.
3. Research the particular conventions from this genre in more detail to inform choices for your creative piece.
4. Plan your narrative carefully using provided scaffold.
5. Employ the editing and drafting process to create clarity in your piece. This includes following proper word processing guidelines.
6. Create a visual representation (no larger than A4 size) which best represents the main ideas of your story. This must be handed in with your completed narrative.
